Sleeksparrow walked among the Sunny Pools, now reflecting starshine. She was almost past their darkening waters when she heard the rythmic thump, thump, thump of paws hitting ground. The tabby she-cat whipped around, the fur along her spine and tail fluffling up. A dark shadow raced toward her she unsheathed her claws and beared her fangs.

Flintfrost slowed down as he saw Sleeksparrow's claws glinting under the moonlight. "Sleeksparrow, it's me!" he called and watched as the she-cat sheathed her claws and ran toward him, distress glowing in her eyes.

Sleeksparrow touched noses with the black tom, looking into his eyes. She was met with an undying sadness and a wisp of anxiety. "What happened, Flintfrost?" she meowed.

"The deputy of BloodClan, Shade, found me with you tonight," he rasped. "I've been banished from BloodClan."
He watched Sleeksparrow's face twist in horror and sadness for him. "Now, I need you to talk to your leader."

"Of course," Sleeksparrow mewled, her worry for Flintfrost heightening. "Anything. Swiftstar will be fair with any lost warrior..." But Sleeksparrow was worried deep within. What if Flintfrost can't stay with me in WindClan? she questioned herself. What would I do without him?

Flintfrost followed Sleeksparrow from the Sunny Pools to the direction he recognized as the WindClan camp.
